Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Announces Spring 2014 Graduation Class Including Inforce Technologies

CLEVELAND, OHIO, May 12, 2014 – Inforce Technologies, LLC, a Cleveland based system integration and technology consulting firm for the insurance industry is pleased to announce that the company CEO and founder Brian MacKenzie, has earned a certificate of entrepreneurship for completion of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program Spring 2014 Cohort.

The program is a newly created $500 million investment approach designed to unlock the growth and job-creation potential of 10,000 small businesses across the United States through greater access to education, capital and business support services for a highly targeted group of successful business executives.

Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is about tapping into the economic power of successful small businesses by providing select entrepreneurs across the country with additional resources needed to grow and create jobs. The program is funded by Goldman Sachs and the Goldman Sachs Foundation and is currently operating in Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Houston, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, New York, Philadelphia and Salt Lake City. It will continue to expand on a city-by-city basis across the United States and into the United Kingdom in 2014.

Partnering with the City of Cleveland, Goldman Sachs has invested $15 million into the Cleveland program. Selection into the prestigious program includes an exhaustive application and interview process designed to identify those businesses and their leaders who have consistently demonstrated growth and success within their marketplace.

MacKenzie participated in over 250 hours of classroom work, course assignments, and coaching engagements over the past four months in which the business owners learned to identify opportunities and develop their leadership skills to accelerate growth and maximize their business operations. As part of the program, Brian was assigned a mentor and business coach who provided one-on-one advisement and guidance on all components of the operation. Brian also benefited from the feedback and collective experience of other successful small business owners in a collaborative setting.

Reflecting on his experience in the program, Brian said, “This was an incredible opportunity for our company and our team at Inforce. The program really challenged our thinking and our approach to the business, and that’s what growing is all about. Coming out of the Goldman Sachs program, we are extremely confident in our ability to execute on our growth plan, and more focused than ever on achieving our objectives to reach higher levels of success. The experience far exceeded my expectations and our team will always be grateful for the opportunity”.
